There's only one source of renewable energy that can provide all of the world's needs and that's the Sun. In fact, enough sunlight falls on the Earth's surface in just a couple of hours each day to meet the whole world's energy needs for one year. The question is: how can we effectively and economically harness this solar energy, without mass-producing very expensive conventional solar cells, which would ultimately require vast tracts of land in order to do their job?Nanotechnology could provide the answer in the form of a new kind of solar cell, one which would be relatively inexpensive to manufacture and highly flexible in design. In fact, you maybe surprised as to just how flexible these cells might be! Find out more by watching this movie.This is one of a selection of intriguing movies which are available for free download from the EPSRC Nanotechnology Image Library at : http://www.nanoscience.dept.sh... may also be interested in navigating to the "Soft Machines" site belonging to Professor Richard Jones - who features in this movie - for up-to-date discourse on all things nano. @Lalli1987 this people are business oriented so they will not give you information because they afraid of exposing their secrets.

I invented a breakthrough source of energy, which contradicts the law of conservation of energy. I have a PROOF that there are electrodynamic phenomena which contradict the law of energy conservation. It will cost about $1200 to make a 6 kW generator in mass production. Value of the energy produced yearly about $5400. I am looking for $300 000 for a prototype and for $3M for patents.H. Tomasz Grzybowskitel. +48-512-933-540

@marcheseDS Oh Snap

@jmm1233 No you can't, because you would get back the same "small amount" of energy you used minus the losses of the system (mostly heat in wires, water and a big one in burning the H2 back). You don't have to believe me or a million scientists before me, just try in a decent lab and do the sum&difference. Everybody would be happier if it was possible :(

@silverpizza100 I don't know what you're talking about, but just to be kind, what did you discovered that way so far?
marcheseDS (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
@stonerj0e 1What the hell has evolution to do with solar cells? 2DNA is a design and plants do exactly that, catch light and store energy in chemical form, they perfected this system by evolution BTW 3You would probably get AN F anyway, don't blame evolutionary enthusiasts but evolution itself ;)

@stonerj0e making specific molecules from DNA is harder than simply printing the cells like this. DNA codes for a protein that would then have to make the solar cell. Chlorophyll is a molecule made by many enzymes, so coding for similar solar cells in DNA would take years of research.

i think of shit like this all the time. noone listens to me . WTF? i want to see them do it in their garage bitches.. fucking dicks takes a few college classes and thinks he knows something.. bitch im working on partical rotation and electroMAGNETIC fields and looking AT ROTATIONAL and eletromagnetic compairsons with stars. with no help and no books bitch! college sissy boy!

there is also water , hydro electrolysis , that's cheaper to do and is renewable , and you could use Photovoltaics cell to produce the small amount electricity for the process and get more energy from the burning of hydrogen ,
